Differences between CM360 and DV360[edit | edit source]

Many are confused by the relationship between Campaign Manager 360 and Display & Video 360. The former is used to host your creatives and campaigns while the latter holds your insertion orders and line items. Both can, however, host creatives. If you host your creatives in CM360, but run your campaigns on DV360 then the creatives are created as tags in DV360.

Display & Video 360 is a demand-side-platform (DSP) that programmatically handles the buying of ads similar to Google Ads. Campaign Manager 360 is an ad server that hosts campaigns and report on their performance.

Can I combine Campaign Manager and Display & Video?[edit | edit source]

Yes, and this is often done in agencies where the client is uploading creatives and passing the agency the tags only. You don't need to upload the tags if you set them up yourself as this is done automatically if you use Floodlight activities.
